Borosilicate glass 3.3: it withstands gradual heating, but not sudden changes in temperature. Do not use cracked or chipped pieces. Porcelain: avoid sudden changes in temperature and check it before use. Before applying vacuum, check the flask for cracks and scratches: a damaged flask can implode. Use it only for its intended purpose, in the laboratory or for teaching.
